2006 was another extremely busy year for us, with many wonderful  opportunities to share the gospel all over the world.

JANUARY: With a mixture of reflection, prayer, singing and laughter, we greeted 2007 on the Logos 2 on the island of Bermuda. That same evening we shared the gospel in the local prison. Later we visited the Bahamas, Dominican Republic, Curacao and Bonaire.

FEBRUARY: Daily ministry to the core team on the Logos Hope in Croatia and a short welcome break in Dorset was followed by almost 2 weeks in Serbia teaching Isaiah at Belgrade Bible School. Gareth speaks 47 times during the month!

MARCH: Returning unexpectedly to the Logos 2 gives special ministry opportunities in

Jamaica and the Bahamas including the delivery of a 10 part series entitled ‘An Introduction to Christian Ethics’, part of the onboard training syllabus.

APRIL: Ministry in the Caribbean continues to St Kitts and Antigua. Our annual visit to AMEN projects in India includes speaking at an Indian friend’s wedding. Three American friends join us and one decides to continue ministering in the country!

MAY: A short but intensive time in Bahrain sees us ministering in 11 churches in a little over 4 days. A break with Mum Bolton in the north of England is followed by a week in Spain speaking nightly to a large group of over 120 in a hotel for Oak Hall.

JUNE: A visit to minister to Christian workers in a Central Asian Nation proves very difficult as the government is on the verge of expelling the team. Tears flow in the meetings but the internal strength God gives is greater than the external pressure on them.

JULY: A short trip to minister in N Ireland is followed later by two meetings in a church in Birmingham. This leads to an invitation to speak at their church’s  annual retreat in 2007. After speaking in Italy, we attend a friend’s wedding in Germany at which Gareth spoke.

AUGUST: Norway is the venue for the 3rd Oak Hall trip. This month sees us attending OM’s International Forum in Germany and having a summer break in our favourite bolt-hole with Mum Bolton in Dorset.

SEPTEMBER: Mama (Malou’s mum) visits the UK for 2 months from the Philippines. Gareth ministers with Oak Hall in China. The month ends with a ministry trip to various churches in the Faroe islands – we both eat whale for the first time!

OCTOBER: A short holiday in Cornwall with both mothers is followed by a visit to India to three cities to visit some of the AMEN projects, to speak at church and to sort our some pastoral issues.

NOVEMBER: Two week are spent ministering to the guests at a Christian run hotel near the border with Italy in Switzerland. At the end of the month, Gareth gives the Bible readings at the first National Congress of ‘Grace and Light International’ in Nigeria.

DECEMBER: The year ends as it began – on board an OM ship, the Doulos. First we fly to the Philippines where we share at a wedding (the third this year!). We fly to the ship in Bacolod where we spend Christmas and the New Year.
